Institutional Leadership

Leadership & Founding Advisory Council

JAIP is being built with input from people who understand different parts of the employment marketplace. The goal is not consensus for its own sake. The goal is better standards, better research and better outcomes for job seekers and employers.

Founder

Founder

Paul Cornell

Paul Cornell founded the Job Application Integrity Project after more than 35 years working in recruiting and interviewing thousands of job seekers. His experience has provided a firsthand view of both the emotional and financial challenges people can experience while looking for work and the growing challenges employers face protecting their brands, controlling their application paths and ensuring qualified candidates actually reach them.

JAIP grew from a belief that responsible job distribution should help employers and candidates connect while authorization, transparency and accountability remain fundamental expectations.

Founding Advisory Council

The Founding Advisory Council is being formed to provide independent, multidisciplinary guidance as JAIP develops standards, research methods, educational resources, reporting tools and a potential future verification program.

Challenge Assumptions

Independent judgment matters

Advisors are encouraged to disagree, question premises and identify weaknesses. Agreement with every JAIP position is neither expected nor required.

Multiple Perspectives

Represent the whole marketplace

JAIP seeks perspectives from employers, talent acquisition, recruiting, job distribution, technology, privacy, consumer protection, fraud prevention, workforce development and research.

Practical Standards

Make the framework workable

Advisors help identify unintended consequences and ensure that proposed standards can work across legitimate recruiting models.

Research Integrity

Evidence before conclusions

Advisors can help strengthen methodology, research priorities and the evidence needed for future verification to be meaningful.

Founding Advisor appointments are in development.

JAIP is beginning outreach to experienced professionals from different parts of the employment marketplace. Advisor names and biographies will be published here with each advisor's permission as the Council is formed.

Participation is in an individual advisory capacity unless otherwise stated and does not necessarily constitute endorsement by an advisor's employer or organization.

What is expected of a Founding Advisor?

The role is advisory rather than operational. JAIP currently anticipates approximately two Council meetings per year, along with occasional opportunities to review a significant standard, research initiative or policy proposal.

Founding Advisors are not employees, officers, agents or legal representatives of JAIP solely because of their Council service.

Interested in participating?

JAIP is interested in experienced professionals willing to bring independent judgment and help build a balanced public-service initiative.
